Omo R

Omo R (short for Omo River), is an exceptionally charming 25-year-old female elephant born in the Amboseli region in Kenya. She is a member of the so-called OA family – who are known for their beautiful females –  and is the daughter of Orabel, who is the family’s matriarch.

In 2015, she gave birth to a healthy male calf. Dr. Vicki Fishlock was nearby on that specific day, and was fortunate enough to have captured the OA family reunion on video after Omo R had given birth.

The whole AO family gathered and greeted the newest member of their family. Orabel is seen supporting her daughter, Omo River, who was exhausted from giving birth.
