Irving
Irving was named after Irving Tucker, a wildlife enthusiast who spent most of his time with his wife in South Africa and kindly sponsored the elephant collar as well as the operational costs with which Irving was equipped in February 2010. The collar enables to monitor the routes and distances the bull roams across the reserves from East to West and back again. Due to Irving’s characteristic notches in his left ear, he is easily identifiable.
Irving Tucker sadly passed away shortly after the collaring of his second sponsored collar, which the elephant named in honor of his wife is wearing since then.
