Ezulwini

Ezulwini

Ezulwini means ‘from heaven’ in Zulu, which we think is the perfect fit for this elephant’s grand appearance and character.

Ezulwini was first sighted in 2003 in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, but is nowadays seen regularly in the area of Balule Private Nature Reserve. Despite growing to one of the largest tusked bulls in South Africa, he is known to be kind and gentle to rangers. This behaviour was proven by one of rare and recent occasions when in September 2016, Ezulwini came up very close to a ranger’s vehicle. And as the pictures show, he is a big beauty indeed.
